Welcome to the Homepage of the Institute for European Traffic Law (IETL)

The institute was set up in 2003 having its registered office in Luxembourg since June 2011 and concerns itself with developments in the field of insurance law, the law on liability, on compensation and general traffic law in the European Union.

It seeks to promote training and further education and an interchange of expert knowledge and practical experience in all areas of traffic law.

To this end, seminars, training courses and colloquia are organised, in addition to the European Traffic Law Days, which take place once in a year in Luxembourg.

It is a Platform for discussion of current developments in European Union legislation and recent judgments.
